Alma d’ Arte Charter High School requires a high Level of participation in engaged learning. Regular classroom attendance enables students to benefit from classroom discussions, presentation and interactive activities. These shared academic experiences are integral to the learning process. The Attendance for Success Act requires school districts and charter schools to classify each student into one of four attendance intervention tiers, based on the percentage of class period and school day absences. The Act provides required interventions for students in each of the tiers. The Act also requires school districts to report, at each reporting period and the end of the year, for each student with an absence, the attendance intervention tier to which the student was assigned during the reporting period.
The Anti-Racism/Anti Oppression (ARAO) Portal is a resource created by the Black Education Act (House Bill 43) that is available for staff, students, families, community members, and other stakeholders to report school-based incidents of racism or racial discrimination against anyone.
The ARAO portal is a neutral bridge that supports communication between districts, schools, students, and their families. The ARAO Portal covers racialized incidents that happen within New Mexico schools.
Staff, students, families, and community members can report school-based incidents of racism to the Anti-Racism, Anti-Oppression Portal by filling out the online form: bit.ly/ARAOPortal
